March 11, 2023 at 7:28 pm This bracket snapped like a twig. Should have never tried it, but wanted to clean the screen… oh well Can you still buy this bracket? Can it be welded? Can I take the pump off via the 4 bolts? That would allow better access… Any pointers are much appreciated!!! Nik in San Diego

March 2, 2023 at 5:12 pm Searched a bunch but still need some advice. I purchased new Centa CF-r torsional coupling for a 280 1a gear from here. Went to install but the instructions that came with the coupling were pretty confusing.   Seems like the directions are starting as if the coupling is disassembled?  pics included  Mine came in one piece but there was some washers and a strap in a bag?  Washers i get but not sure about the strap?  Must be for assembly? January 9, 2023 at 12:11 am I have a Twin Disc that I believe to be a MG-506(-1?), original equipment on a Cat 3208T circa 1982-83. OEM trolling valve was added by previous owner It worked just fine. and then there was a (possibly related) starting fluid high rev event.  Now the transmission takes about 15 seconds to build pressure and shift the first time you engage it in either direction. January 20, 2023 at 12:42 pm Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve tested shifting on the unit by moving the selector valve arm fully to the detents, and still the same result. I need to do the same with the trolling valve arm, even though the helm control is fully disengaged. I had a phone conversation with Twin Disc corporate, and was told that based on the symptoms and the model/vintage, it was most likely the clutch piston seals starting to go, and I should contact one …

December 12, 2022 at 9:24 am ZF says to use part # 3213-308-019. SBMAR has Cummins part LF701 listed, but only for transmissions with the MB30 valve, which I don’t believe I have because I’m using electronic throttles. Previous owner had been using Cummins HF6531. November 23, 2022 at 4:06 pm I’m planning to replace the torsional coupling on one of my engines.
