Yard just installed a new ZF220a gear on a 6bta 330 cummins. Last one had an issue keeping pressure. The new gear is set up with a new trolling valve installed and the pressure sender is on the outboard side of the trolling valve with a right angle turn on the pressure sender. (sorry, can’t get pictures until Wed.) In reverse, I get zero pressure on the gauge. Also, in gear, I am only getting 300 psi. I get just under 300 psi in idle forward and 300 psi at cruise. Doesn’t really change much when I speed up and stays constant at around 300 psi at cruise. No fluctuation. This was first quick sea-trial. Any thoughts? I guess I should stick a liquid pressure gauge on it. Is zero in reverse normal with the sender on the trolling valve side?
